Biography

A graduate in Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), David has worked with startups, NGOs, and government agencies including the Kenya ICT Authority and UNDP to scale digital literacy and secure software development practices. He is deeply committed to making high-quality tech education accessible, relevant, and affordable for young professionals and small business owners.

Known for his clear, practical teaching style and use of Swahili-Sheng’ code-switching to demystify complex topics, David ensures his students many of whom are first-generation tech learners gain confidence alongside competence. He also mentors youth through hackathons and co-leads WaCre’s “Build for Kenya” initiative, which supports community-driven tech solutions.

When not teaching or coding, David volunteers with rural schools to set up computer labs and advocates for ethical AI adoption in public service.
