She is renowned for her “tough but transformative” courses that challenge learners to think deeply and execute precisely:
Advanced Systems Programming – covering concurrency, memory management, and performance-critical code in C++, Rust, and Go;

Her teaching philosophy blends intellectual rigour with real-world relevance. Former students now lead engineering teams at Stripe, design products at Intercom, and launch regulated fintech startups across Europe—all crediting Aoife’s demanding standards and unwavering support.
A frequent speaker at Web Summit and Dublin Tech Week, Aoife also advises early-stage startups on technical architecture and product-market fit. She champions inclusive innovation and actively mentors women in STEM through initiatives like Women Who Code Dublin and the Irish Digital Skills Council.
When not in the lecture hall or lab, she’s hiking the Wicklow Mountains, contributing to open-source privacy tools, or debating the ethics of AI over a pint in Temple Bar.
